The 5th year running of the annual competition in Asia
Darmstadt/Singapore, 22 December 2005 – Ifra Asia invites all newspaper and magazine companies in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region to participate in the annual Asia Media Awards 2006.
For the 5th year running, this event aims to duly acknowledge excellence among individuals and organisations that have embraced new technology, innovative thinking and creativity.
Asia Media Awards will comprise the following three categories:
1. Best in Design Award
2. Best in Infographics Award
3. Best in Photography Award
Best in Design Award:
The award will be presented to entries whose design, originality and content have achieved levels of excellence deserving of recognition. Entries will be judged not only on design but how design is used to project the contents. This includes the use of typography, photography, information graphics and colour.
Best in Infographics Award:
This award aims to duly acknowledge excellence in design, usefulness and clarity of information conveyed in newspapers and magazines.
Best in Photography Award:
The award is open to all professional photographers working for either newspapers or feature magazines or supplying work to either news, sports or feature agencies or providing content for websites affiliated with newspapers, magazines or sites providing independent and non-affiliated photojournalism content. Participants should be working in Asia Pacific and Middle East.
Award Gala Dinner:
These prestigious, sought-after awards will be presented during the Asia Media Awards Gala Dinner 2006 on 25 April 2006 at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in conjunction with Publish Asia 2006.
